Roles of Volunteer Probation Officers
According to Ministry of Justice Regulations on Roles and Procedures of Volunteer Probation Officers and Roles of People Sector, B.E. 2560(2017) Section 1: Roles and Operational Procedures of Probation Volunteers Chapter 1: Roles of Probation Volunteers, Clause 6, Volunteer Probation Officers have the following roles in assisting probation officers

Rehabilitating offenders
- 2
Monitoring, supporting, and providing assistance or welfare to offenders or beneficiaries
- 3
Gathering facts and information related to offenders
- 4
Promoting and supporting the mission of the Department of Probation
- 5
Participating in crime prevention efforts
- 6
Performing other duties as assigned by the Director General of the Department of Probation
All duties listed in items (1) through (6) must be carried out under the supervision of a probation officer.
